A requisite for our next home: right there, in the front yard, a golden, amber canopy providing ethereal light on the darkest autumn days. A Sugar Maple, a glowy sunset; a Ginko, an incandescent fan; or a River Birch, delicate, dangling 24-karat blades would all be perfectly swell.
And so would a palm tree.
My dream is the palm tree in the winter, and the others in the summer. At this point that palm tree seems a bit impossible.

I really love this photo! The color is great and I love how Charlie is flying off the ground. Even though this a beautiful shot, I will still take the palm tree any day.
